Loughborough women secured a semi-final place and a top two spot in the Women's BUCS Super Rugby table with a 46-20 win against Cardiff Met last night.
In a rematch of last years' final, Loughborough secured a bye for the play-off spot, while Cardiff Met know they will need to replicate their run from last year where they came won three consectuive knockout matches to clinch the title.
Loughborough will be joined by Hartpury who finished the league phase with a perfect 12 wins from 12 during the league phase with the added achievement of scoring a bonus point in each game to secure top spot.
Exeter women recorded a huge 94-0 victory over Edinburgh and the two sides will also take part in the play-off round, along with Brunel who beat Cardiff 33-26 on Wednesday.
The Quarter finals are scheduled for the 18th March with the Semi-Finals on the 8th April as the remaining six teams do battle for the prestigious award.
Bath Mens BUCS Super Rugby side secured a vital home win against Loughborough and the race to finish top of the league will go down to the final day.
League leaders Bath need to avoid defeat in Durham next week to secure top spot before the Quarter Finals at the end of the month.
A 40-31 victory was Bath’s tenth consecutive win and they will be hoping to carry their form into the knockout stage in the hope of securing their first ever BUCS Super Rugby title.
Further down the table, Cardiff Uni picked up a 41-40 win away at Leeds Beckett in a must win game, which leaves Cardiff just a singular point behind their opponents in ninth with the battle to secure the final Quarter-Final spot going to the final day.
Cardiff host third place Exeter next Wednesday while Leeds Beckett host Nottingham in what should be an exciting final day in the fight for eighth position.
Elsewhere, Cardiff Met secured their own one-point win in an excellent 50-49 victory over Nottingham to solidify their spot in sixth while Exeter triumphed over holders Hartpury and Durham comfortably beat bottom side Swansea 42-14.
