Little Dragons is the latest addition to the ever-growing Dragons Family.
We are proud to partner with GD Environmental to launch our inspirational ‘Little Dragons’ programme, which aims to provide a positive and fun environment for children aged three to six-years-old to learn and develop through rugby-based activities and games.
Our plan is to provide a structured opportunity for children to develop fundamental skills, providing them with the correct base level of skills to live a healthy and active life.
Our coaches and staff work hard to plan and develop sessions and pathways to ensure that each child can learn, develop and refine each of the fundamental movement skills before moving onto more sports specific skills and then ultimately sports specific activities.
‘Little Dragons’ is a programme that has been set up to fill a very important part of every child’s life development, this stage of development is generally known as the foundation stage. This stage is crucial to the learning, developing and consolidation of basic motor skills that aid your child’s development in life as well as in sport.
Sessions last for 45 minutes and during that time our ‘Little Dragons’ and their grown-ups / family members are active, working together on the children’s fundamental movement, self-confidence, communications skills, passing, catching, listening skills and spatial awareness, whilst having quality family engagement and load of fun. Mobile phones are banned and it’s just about spending quality time together in a productive and active environment.

And here is what is means from one mum...
"A big thank you to Steve and the Little Dragons team for making me a very proud Mummy with a happy little boy.
My son can really struggle with transitions and new people/ experiences. So … I cannot believe that in a half a term we have gone from hiding behind me and trying to run away, to now joining in the whole session and absolutely loving it. He is even volunteering to do demos and shaking hands with other children saying good game!! To see him enjoying the session and participating has just given us both so much joy.
Absolutely brilliant supportive, accepting and inclusive environment. Surpassed my expectations…I think I can call myself a rugby mum now!"
