Dragons RFC were delighted to welcome Jack Sargeant MS, Minister for Culture, Skills & Social Partnership of Wales, to Rodney Parade this week.
An inspiring day saw him meet Mike Sage, our Head of Community, to discuss inclusion, diversity and STEM impact throughout Gwent via our award-winning Dragons Community Team.
Jack was joined and supported by Jayne Bryant MS – Newport West - and John Griffiths MS - Newport East - alongside our Dragons Stadium Manager, Jon Raymond.
Dragons Education & STEM Officer, Angharad Kibble highlighted the impressive impact our STEM provision, in partnership with Vishay Newport Limited, is making across our schools.
Angharad looks forward to welcoming over 500 pupils to Rodney next week for a STEM Festival as part of our British Science Week schedule.
The STEM Festival will build on our work in this area which saw the Community team win the STEM Educational Programme of the Year at the Wales STEM Awards.
We were proud to share our impact and our vision for the future with our visitors. Keep your eyes peeled on our social channels for more from the SYEM Festival next week.
