Dragons RFC co-captain and Wales star Ben Carter has rounded off a big season by picking up the IPVanish Tackle Machine award in the BKT United Rugby Championship.
The prize goes to the player with the highest percentage accuracy among those who made 150-plus tackles during the regular season.
Caldicot product Carter finished top of that list with a 97.6 per cent return.
It’s been a campaign to remember for the 25-year-old with Carter starting the last three games for Wales in the Guinness Six Nations, including the big win over Italy on the final weekend.
He’s also played a key part for Dragons, reaching the semi-final of the EPCR Challenge Cup.
Carter's huge work-rate - epitomised by his defensive stats - have made him a crucial leader within Dragons.
With Dragons youngster Harry Beddall finishing a close second, it is huge reward on an individual and team level and praise for Dragons' defensive efforts under new senior coach Dale MacLeod.
