Former Dragons RFC player and coach Shaun Connor returns to the Men of Gwent this season - as part of several new key backroom appointments.
Former Dragons outside-half Connor previously successfully worked as an Academy Coach and Skills Coach at Rodney Parade. Connor - Assistant Coach with Russia at the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan – was most recently part of the Wales Women's coaching team and has also worked extensively with Wales under-20s.
He brings a wealth of experience as a professional player and coach to his appointment as Kicking & Skills Consultant for the 2026/27 season at Dragons.
Dragons can also confirm that Simon Church will return to the club as Senior Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Church previously worked with the Men of Gwent for five seasons and most recently held the position of Head of Physical Performance at Ospreys.
The club can also announce Aled Rees and Shane O’Hanrahan link up with the club as newly appointed Senior Physiotherapists.
Rees returns to Dragons after a spell with Ospreys while O’Hanrahan previously worked at Exeter Chiefs and with North Shore in the AFL in Australia.
Finally, the club is also pleased to announce that Gwern James returns as Performance Analyst for the upcoming season. James previously worked with Dragons before a spell as Lead Analyst with Rugby Canada over the last three years.
