We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Bar Associates to join our match-day team at Rodney Parade. As part of the team, you’ll help create a fantastic experience for Dragons RFC supporters by providing fast, friendly and professional bar service before, during and after match days.
Location: Rodney Parade, Newport
Hours: Casual / Match Day – evenings, weekends & bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Serve drinks efficiently and professionally to supporters and guests.
- Take orders and process cashless/card payments accurately.
- Prepare and serve draught beer, wine, spirits, bottled drinks and soft drinks.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented bar area.
- Restock fridges, bar supplies and service areas as required.
- Lift and carry bar stock, supplies and other items when necessary.
- Provide excellent customer service, even during busy periods.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth service throughout match day.
- Follow all venue, licensing, health & safety and responsible alcohol-service procedures.
- Help with opening and closing duties when required.
Rodney Parade currently operates as a cashless stadium, with card/contactless payments accepted at its bars.
What We’re Looking For...
Essential:
- Must be aged 18 or over.
- Availability to work weekends and bank holidays.
- Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a busy team.
- Friendly and confident approach to customers.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy match-day periods.
- Physically able to lift and carry items such as stock, supplies and bar equipment when required.
Desirable:
- Previous bar, hospitality, catering or customer-service experience.
- Experience working in a busy event, stadium or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of draught beer and other alcoholic beverages.
- Experience is preferred but not essential – full training can be provided.
