Dragons RFC are pleased to announce the signing of powerful prop Cebo Dlamini with immediate effect from Suzuki Griquas.
The 24-year-old South African tighthead links up with the Men of Gwent ahead of the BKT United Rugby Championship fixture against Connacht at Rodney Parade.
Dlamini – nicknamed Big D - needs no introduction to Rodney Parade having played against Dragons earlier this season while on loan to Hollywoodbets Sharks.
The Eshowe-born front row – who weighs in at 118kgs – started his career at Blue Bulls before moving to Griquas in 2023.
Dlamini – who earlier this month featured for Sharks against Toulouse in the Investec Champions Cup - captained the Griquas to victory in the Currie Cup in 2025.
Head Coach Filo Tiatia said: “Cebo has linked up with us, has quickly nailed his roles and has been awesome.
“He’s a strong scrummager and a good learner who picks things up quickly. Robert Hunt and Tinus de Beer are also helping him with the information and settling.
“Cebo is a good man and character, I’ve been impressed with the questions he asks and his deep understanding for learning,” he added.
“We’re down a few players in that position so we are grateful that he has accepted the opportunity to come and help. He’s a good addition.”
