Beddall On Bouncing Back For Zebre

26/10/2026

Following the dissipation of Storms Austen and Boelo, Dragons’ attention now focusses on Saturday’s clash back at Rodney Parade against Zebre.

It brings up the end to the first block of the 26/27 season with Dragons having already won at home to Scarlets and Perpignan plus an away draw in Treviso against Benetton.

Former Wales U20s captain Beddall is looking forward to closing the block at home and “bounce back” following Saturday’s defeat at St. Helen’s.

“It has been a really positive block for us and we’ve got to regather now for a last game against Zebre in front of the fans and finish the block on a high,” said Beddall.

“It’s a big opportunity for us to bounce back following this loss.

“It’s back at home, back at Rodney, in front of our fans and we’ve got to finish the block strong.”

In defeat, Dragons will be disappointed with their discipline, conceding three yellow cards.

Prior to that defeat, Dragons hadn’t received a single card and will look to return to those high standards against Zebre.

“We were second best in a lot of areas tonight and we’re really disappointed with that performance,” said Beddall.

“We were our worst enemy at times, our discipline wasn’t great, three yellow cards

“We knew they had a strong set-piece and we gave them plenty of ins into our 22 and they’re hard to stop.”

21-year-old Beddall was named Dragons’ Academy player of the season last year after an impressive first term with the Men of Gwent.

The flanker has continued his impressive form into the beginning of this season, starting Dragons’ last three games, including making 31 tackles in the victory against Perpignan.

“I’m really enjoying my rugby at the moment,” said Beddall.

“I’m playing a lot which of course is nice.

“I just love being out there with the boys and fighting for each other.”
