Head Coach Filo Tiatia urged his Dragons to finish the season strong after EPCR Challenge Cup heartbreak in the semi-finals against Top 14 giants Montpellier Herault Rugby.
Centre Aneurin Owen grabbed a brace of tries as the Men of Gwent went toe-to-toe with the two-time winners and top seeds in an enthralling encounter in France.
Tiatia’s men were eventually edged out of a pulsating clash at Septeo Stadium and he admitted while they were left disappointed it was vital to now finish the league season on the front foot.
“There is a lot of disappointment,” said Tiatia. “It was a could have, should have sort of game.
“We left a lot of points out there on the field and we’re disappointed with the outcome.
“We’ve got our last home game next weekend against Edinburgh, a lot of milestones to celebrate, some people that won’t be here next season.
“It’s Scarlets after that and that’ll be our season, we want to finish strong, not just for the group but for our fans as well. We’ve got to keep going.”
