Late loss for Wales U20s and Dragons duo

06/02/2026

England produced a second-half comeback to begin their Under-20 Six Nations campaign with a win over Wales - who included Dragons RFC duo George Tuckley and Evan Minto - in muddy conditions in Northampton.

The visitors had a 16-0 half-time lead inspired by fly-half Carwyn Leggatt-Jones, who kicked three penalties and helpe hack the ball ahead for Steffan Emanuel to score a first half try.

England responded five minutes after the restart when replacement Sonny Tonga'uiha barged over and they then cut the deficit to 16-12 six minutes later through Harlequins' Jimmy Staples.

England were reduced to 14 men when Luke Davidson was shown a 20-minute red card by referee Luke Rogan after catching the head of Leggatt-Jones .

But Wales were unable to capitalise and England completed their comeback in the 75th minute when replacement Victor Worsnip crossed from a few metres out.
