Dragons prop Rodrigo Martinez has been selected in the Argentinian 23 to face Australia this weekend in Jujuy, Argentina (Kick off Sat, Aug 29, 2026 at 8:00 PM).
Los Pumas host the first of a two-game series against Australia with the Wallabies travelling to Mendoza for the second match next weekend.
It’s an exciting return to the international side for loosehead prop Martinez, who hasn’t represented his country’s senior side since November 2021, having made his debut against the Wallabies the previous season.
It's reward for Martinez' fine form last season with the 28-year-old impressing for the Men of Gwent, making 19 appearances, including 14 starts over the course of the season.
Argentina come into the game following their narrow 10-17 home defeat to South Africa earlier this month, while Australia won both tests against Japan in early August to give head coach Les Kiss a winning start to his reign.
