Player of the Match against Zebre Parma, Harrison Keddie said that his side are full of “confidence” following their recent run in Europe and at home.
Keddie led the charge with two tries in the crucial EPCR Challenge Cup quarter final win at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.
The backrower doubled his tally for the season, having scored a brace in the come-from-behind victory against Lyon in December.
“It was great to get the win,” said Keddie, after the match. “We spoke all week about how we had earned another crack at it (after the win against Stade Français) and the chance to come away again.
“We had spoken about weathering that storm and putting our game on them. We did that and got what we needed out of that game.
“The big thing is confidence. A few months ago, we got those wins over Lyon and Connacht, and we have been in a lot of games this year – at times the bounce of the ball hasn’t gone our way.
“The last few weeks it had bounced for us, and it has made a hell of a difference, and we have made it count.
“We have a lot to look forward to with the semi-final. We spoke at the start of the year about trying to get on a run in this tournament.
“We are delighted to have the last four games and earn another week in the tournament.”
Fly-half Tinus de Beer, who was one of Dragons’ top tacklers in the win against Zebre reflected on the character shown by his side.
De Beer who returned from injury against Stade said: “At the start of the season we said we are fighting for something special.”
“We speak a lot about care and connection and from the start of this European competition and the URC things have not always gone our way. But the character has pulled us through.
“This competition has put smiles on the faces, and we are enjoying playing the game. That is what it is all about.
“We know the challenge ahead with Montpellier away – but we knew the challenge with Stade Français and Zebre Parma away. We have overcome those.
“Firstly, we must focus on the Bulls and the next few games in the URC.”
