A last-ditch converted try from Number Eight Elliot Beavan saw Dragons Under-18s edge out Scarlets Under-18s in horrendous conditions at Ystrad Mynach.
The young Men of Gwent made it a hat-trick of Academies U18s Championship victories with the late show in a game that was hampered by the atrocious conditions.
A try from a driving maul from home captain and hooker Tiaan Hall saw the sides go in level at 5-5 at the break.
Scarlets looked like that had weathered the storm and the second half efforts of Dragons as they led by five going into the final few minutes.
But a scrum penalty under the posts gave the home side one last attempt and Number Eight Beavan took the tap and crashed over, with the conversion from Kai Kinsey securing the win.
Dragons now sit five points behind Cardiff in the table going into the break. The competitions restarts in the New Year with Dragons U18s back in action on January 18.
