Wales were outscored 51-13 in the 5th place semi-final against England at Stadio Luigi Zaffanella, Viadana in the World Rugby U20 Championship under a baking sun.
A tigerish Wales side frustrated England in the first half with a converted Sion Davies try putting his side 13-7 ahead but a try right on the stroke of halftime by Archie McParland swung momentum towards the red rose brigade.
In the second half England collected four more tries while keeping a hard working Wales side pointless to advance to the 5th place final while Harry Beddall’s side will now contest the 7th place final.
Dragons RFC duo Harry Beddall and Nick Thomas both started the game with Ryan Jones, Owain James and Harri Ford among the replacements.
